Getting Stakeholder Access to Google Analytics for UAMS

If you are a stakeholder from a UAMS department or organization and want access to Google Analytics in order to monitor your site’s traffic, you can either set up a Google account with your UAMS email address or use your personal Google account. The preferred method is to use a UAMS email address.

Setting up a Google Account Using a UAMS Email Address

To use a UAMS email address, you will need to set up a Google account with that email address first. Follow the steps below to accomplish this.

1. Log out of any Google account(s) you’re currently logged in to, then open https://accounts.google.com.
2. Click the Create Account link below the gray “sign in with your Google Account” box and select For myself.
3. Below the “Choose your username” field, click the Use my current email address instead link.
4. Enter the UAMS email address.
5. Finish filling out the form and confirm your new account with the email address you provided.
6. Let the web team know that this is complete.

Using a Personal Google Account

If you wish to use your personal Google account, send the web team the email address associated with that Google account (e.g., username@gmail.com).
