Bold, Italics and All-Caps
Don’t use bold simply to format text. Bold/strong indicates that its contents have strong importance, seriousness, or urgency.
Don’t use italics/emphasis simply to format text. It should be used to represent stress emphasis, like when you’d read the emphasized text in a different tone of voice.
Don’t use all-caps. Text in all capital letters is more difficult to read for most people, with and without disabilities. If it is important, use bold. If it needs to be emphasized, use italics.
