UAMS Gallery Block
The UAMS Gallery block allows you to display up to six images on a landing page. There is an option to allow the user to click each image to open a larger uncropped version of that image in a modal.
Enter a heading that is relevant to the images included in this block. It is recommended that you do not hide the heading.
Capitalize the text in the heading according to the AP Style rules for composition titles.
The description is optional, but you may add text to describe or introduce your images.
Select a number of columns. This will determine how many columns will be displayed in large viewports (meaning in most desktop browsers). It may display in fewer columns in smaller viewports, down to just one column on mobile devices.
Select up to six images. You can reorder them after you have selected them. It is recommended that you choose images that are of a similar orientation (either portrait/vertical or landscape/horizontal). If you have a mix of portrait and landscape images, the visual results may be undesirable. You do have the option to crop your images, though.
Choose whether or not to have the system automatically crop your images to a certain aspect ratio. The image will be cropped from the center, meaning that the top/bottom or left/right will be removed, depending on your selection.
Read Backgrounds of UAMS Blocks before setting the background color of this block.
Choose whether or not to allow the user to click each image to open a larger uncropped version of that image in a modal.
Button/Link to More
Choose whether or not to include a link to some other page / website. When you turn this option on, there is a default value set for the introduction to the link, but this can be changed to something else. Add all relevant values.
Your link text should be two to four words. It should be an action phrase. You are telling the user to do a thing. Do not use “Click Here”.
The link description is necessary for accessibility. It helps to distinguish between multiple links on the page that use the same link text. For example, if multiple links on the page have the same link text, but go to different destinations, screen readers will not be able to determine a difference. Your link description should adequately describe the action that is being taken by the user when they click that link. It should also be unique on the page, meaning no other link’s description should be the same value. Do not copy the link text into this field. Do not copy any related item headings into this field.
