Telemedicine Information on Location Profile
To indicate that telemedicine is available at a Location:
- Edit a Location.
- Go to the Hours of Operation tab.
- Go to the Telemedicine Hours section within that tab.
- Set the Does this location offer a telemedicine option? toggle to Yes.
- Set the appropriate value for Patient Type based on which types of patients are eligible for telemedicine at this Location.
- Set the typical hours of operation for telemedicine at this Location.
A section will be displayed on the front end of the Location for telemedicine information.
The first part of the text is defined in Find-a-Doc Settings > Clinical Locations. This should be a generic description of telemedicine that is good for all Locations.
The second part of the text is an automatically-generated paragraph that describes which patients can use telemedicine and what numbers to call to set up a telemedicine appointment. These phone numbers are based on the phone numbers already defined in the Location back end.
The telemedicine hours of operation will be displayed in this section.
Modified Telemedicine Hours
To indicate that there are modified hours for telemedicine at a Location:
- Edit a Location.
- Go to the Hours of Operation tab.
- Go to the Telemedicine Modified Hours section within that tab.
- Set the Upcoming Modified Telemedicine Hours toggle to Yes.
- Add information for why these modified hours exist.
- Set the start date and the end date (if known) for these modified hours.
- Set the modified hours of operation for telemedicine at this Location.
When the start date of the modified hours is within 30 days in the future, they will display on the front end of the Location page in the Telemedicine Information section.
When they display, the typical hours heading will change from “Hours” to “Typical Hours” and the modified hours will appear before that heading.
If there is no known end date, the typical hours will not display once the start date of the modified hours is today or is in the past.
Telemedicine Availability When Location is Closed
If the location is closed or closing, you can indicate that telemedicine is still available. These instructions assume that the Location telemedicine information and closing information has already been set.
- Edit a Location.
- Go to the Closing tab.
- Set the Will telemedicine still be available? toggle to Yes.
When this is toggled on, a message will be added to the alert at the top of a Location profile to indicate that telemedicine is still available. A link will be included that scrolls users to the telemedicine section on that Location page.
